Melvin
In the chaos of the last few months, we never got round to updating this page so in case you missed it, here's a summary.
On our way to our final Paris gig with Bruxa Maria on January 20th this year, we were in a high-speed motorway accident just outside Amiens (France) in which Gareth broke his neck, and Matt from Bruxa sustained multiple injuries that were even worse than that. Gareth is almost fully recovered (physically) but Matt - although discharged and back in the UK - continues to make regular trips to various orthopedic specialists. Of course I'm sure you have been and will continue join us in sending the good feelings, as well as presents, in Matt's direction.
In more recent weeks we have discovered the van wreck with all our gear in it was raided at the garage it was stored at (allegedly), so we have lost all our equipment too.
In more positive news, our final record has been pressed and is available to order from bandcamp: https://silentfront.bandcamp.com/album/three
Bruxa Maria also have a new record out which you can check out here:
https://hominidsounds.bandcamp.com/album/bruxa-maria-casual-nun-2
We do intend to reschedule our final Paris and London shows, probably in late 2018, so keep an eye out for those.
Finally, here's some footage of the show we played in Brighton, the night before the accident.

Hit The Roof
Can't believe we hit the target for the crowdfunder within 10 days, thanks so much to everyone who has gotten involved!
We would like to do a photo-collage on the inner-sleeve of the new record, so we are calling out to anyone with photos of us, live or otherwise, or in fact any other stuff connected to us, that you think might work on the record. We want this to be as open as possible so we're as super keen to include old low-res blurry phone pictures as well as more professionally shot stuff.
If you have anything you'd like us to have a look at, email us at silentfront@yahoo.com either with sample pics attached, or with a link to where we can see samples, and let us know what you'd need by way of compensation. We will of course credit every photo used on the sleeve itself too.
xxx
Ps. Pre-order is still live here until 17/12/2017 - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1432039067/silent-front-three

Three
*** PRE-ORDER HERE ***
This is a link for the crowdfunder for a vinyl release of our upcoming and last ever record - "Three".
The target is £1000, and we have until 9pm GMT / 22h00 CET on Sunday December 17th to hit it. This is an "all-or-nothing" job, which means that if we fall short of the target we won't be pressing anything.
It is £10 + postage, but we've also listed some distro/multi-buy deals too for anyone after multiple copies. We will ship worldwide. And we may include bonus items for anyone who is extra "nice" to us.
The record itself will be a 12" in a fetching black finish. Full colour artwork and labels etc etc. 6 tracks and about 30mins of sound produced with the aid of Wayne at Bear Bites Horse Studio. So it'll defo sound great.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We will not have these pressed in time for our final gigs in January so if you want a copy, this is the only way you'll get one!
We are recording in December so we anticipate everything will be ready to ship in February. Any questions or anything. Please let us know.

The End
After 23 years under the name Silent Front, 18 years of playing countless shows and 12 years of touring, we are finally putting a cap on it and calling it a day. Our final tour will be this October with Pre-Birds, but we will be polishing it all off with a final London show and E.P. release in early 2018 so watch out for those. We may be able to fit in a couple other shows before then too so hit us up if you like.
Thanks so so SO much to everyone who's ever helped us out, supported us, put a show on, helped release our music, let us have a floor and shared a beer with us. You have impacted our lives more than you know and we love you. It's been fun. Ta ta!

Hello, Twenny Fifteen!
No post in 6 months might suggest that we haven't been up to much; we haven't been up to much in the last 6 months. However, some small things have happened, and we are back writing songs.
Just before Christmas, we included this on a charity compilation. It's a cover of Sonic Youth's I Dreamed I Dream. We recorded it at the same time as the Misanthrope split single many years ago.
Then, as 2015 approached, we featured in a few end of year 'best of 2014' lists:
Procurement Records Blog put Trust as 10th best noise rock album
And Noise R' Us in France included Trust in their top albums We are there as number 1, but that might just be that ours was released first!
Then French website, Mowno, put Trust at 32nd in their top 50 We reckon Shellac and Beck were properly gutted to see us triumph over them.
To see in 2015, Phil, Gareth and I went to The Lamb in Surbiton for a Sci Fi fancy dress party. We didn't bother dressing up. That night I discovered the joys of Oakham Brewery's Citra ale, lost my keys, and dreamt about Oakham Brewery's Citra ale when I went to bed.
Gareth took a photo just after 12:
Then I turned 34 ten days later :-(
In the following weeks we got booked to play a few shows. All the information is in gig section, or on the right hand side if you're using a desktop computer.
See you soon.

The World is Yours
Compilation: Peter Kemp - The World is Yours
This compilation was put together to honour a man called Peter Kemp and to raise some funds for causes close to his heart.
A few words from Arlo Yates (Peter's carer)
Peter Kemp is a total geezer who barring 28 years in a long-stay hospital (he has a mild learning disability) has lived all his life in West London.
His favourite things are films and music, and this love of all types of music led to his record review blog which we wrote together pretty much every week day for three years. He loves the attention it brought him and the people he met through it and it was an absolute joy to work with him on. Unfortunately Peter has been diagnosed with a terminal illness which is progressing very quickly, he's a much-loved character by pretty much everyone who knows him and he's going to be much missed.
I'd like to thank Andy and Joe for organising this and for supporting the reviews and also thank everybody who contributed both to this tribute and to the blog over the years.
