Hardcore Legends

Paul Artrocker played a song of ours on his Artrocker Radio Show on Resonance Fm. It's a song taken from 'Trust', which is due in February 2014.

The song is correctly spelled 'Bracken'.

The whole show can be heard here:

Our new 7" is out now, except, we don't have them yet to send! It's a daft situation involving a very incompetent pressing plant. However, we made up some tapes, which are limited to 20 copies.

Visit our Bandcamp page to have a listen, download & buy. Or you can email us and where we can sell it for a quid less.

Your Future, (Pulled Apart By) Horse(s) Master

Our friend Matt Reid has stumbled across a few copies of the split with Concentration Champ that we did to coincide with the 2006 Skela-Tour of Europe. It's a beautiful looking record with a screen printed sleeve and pink vinyl. You can buy it here but it is very limited!

We Heart Records and God is Dad [Matt Reid] put this out as a split release. We Heart Records stopped putting out records in 2010 and became Count Your Troubles...Count Your Blessings Records, while God Is Dad stopped in 2007 and became God Is Dad Design.

Concentration Champ split shortly after the tour and Paul Marshall went on to become Lone Wolf, and got married last week (Friday 26th July 2013) to his lovely long serving girlfriend, Sofi. Lee Vincent is also married and has a daughter, and now plays drums in Pulled Apart By Horses.

On the Nuremburg leg of the tour, the local radio station called them Concentration Camp. Only three people came to the show.

Euro Tour Diary Part I

I few months ago I wrote a tour diary for Echoes and Dust. Loads of bands released records and the festival season kicked off so it got delayed. This is Part I in a two part series. It was too long to publish in one go.

Silent Front Tour Diary of France and Spain Part I

*Unfortunately this isn't the final edit; something must have got lost in cyber world. So if you think a bit is crap then it probably wasn't suppose to be there. Also, at a few points, you might have to imagine that a new paragraph had been started.

Rip This Joint, Gonna Save Your Soul

The completely mint collective that is RIP THIS JOINT have set up a facebook page.

They say this:
"Rip This Joint is a not-for-profit alternative DIY collective comprised of members of various bands, photographers, artists and all round enthusiasts of self sufficiency.

We’re not promoters, we’re not blood-sucking capitalists and we’re not the saviours of live music. Any money raised on the door or through the sales of anything we put our names to goes direct to the people who provide the entertainment. We don’t make a penny, we're just the people trying to tie things together and introduce you to something new and entertaining."

Mick Jagger once said this:
"Rip this joint, gonna save your soul."

Mick is no mug. Like them here.

No, Not Gently

A massive thanks to Emily and Cressida of NO. They organise a night at Powerlunches in Dalston, which we played at last night. It's nice for us to play a different sort of night as we are probably guilty of playing for the same venues and promoters. To be fair, it wasn't much different to what we are used to; it was still a room full of people, people got drunk, we got drunk, everyone was rad.

They had a smoke machine and I was given the foot switch that controlled it. It was mint.

The Next Album & 7"

As you may know, we recorded our next album during the winter break with Umair Chaudury at Silver Street studios in Reading. Umair has been doing a sterling job at mixing and we are very nearly ready to move onto the next stage with it. We will give information of the label once we have made a definite decision. We also have plans for a 7" which will be released just before the album, which will be made up of two tracks [Veil & the first song we ever wrote with Gareth, which didn't make it onto Dead Lake]. We are in the same situation with labels for this release and again will announce it once it is set in stone.

When You Ignore Me

For amusement, I tend to search the world wide web for friends names, my name, and "silent front".  Here are some of my recent favourites from Twitter.

I have no idea what one is, but I want one too:

Mann Not a Boy

Phil has been tattooing for over a year now and plans to eventually quit his window fitting job to do it fulltime.  He has been very busy tattooing in his spare time; He has been doing it on Saturdays, and sometimes, three nights per week. If you are interested in getting a tattoo yourself, please have a look at, and LIKE his Facebook page. He also has a blogspot account, but I'm not sure it will be kept up-to-date as much as the facebook page.

FranceFranceSpainPain

We've been back from tour for a week now, which means that we're are all back at work. We met a lot of new people, played at venues we had never been to, saw towns we would have never have thought about visiting on holiday, toured in Spain for the very first time, and discovered that Gareth gets very ill on 19 hour ferry crossings. Ferry sickness aside, we had a brilliant tour. We also played with a lot of very good bands, here are a couple of my favourites.

ChooChooShoeShoot (when hearing them pronounce their name, it came to my attention that the idea is to say it in under a second). We played with these in Rennes at Bar'Hic.

Action Beat. We played with these boys in both Caen and Barcelona. They are from Bletchley, which isn't in Milton Keynes.

My intention is to post a few more of the bands we played with over the coming days.

Lastly, the new album has been recorded and is currently being mixed. We don't have a release date as yet but it should start gathering pace over the coming weeks.

Wayne from Death Pedals made this from footage of the mini tour we did with them back in November 2012. We're doing it all again very soon.
